Michele Marchesi is professor of Software Engineering at the University of Cagliari (Italy) – Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE). He leads the research group on Agile Methodologies for software development.
He received from the University of Genoa the MS degree in Electronic engineering in 1975, and in Applied mathematics in 1980. He was researcher at the Institute of Electronic Circuits of National Research Council from 1976 to 1987, then he became associate professor at the University of Ancona from 1987 to 1990, and associate professor at the University of Genoa from 1990 to 1994. Since 1994 he has been full professor at the University of Cagliari.
He has been coordinator of several national and international research projects, totlizing more than 5 million Euros. He has scientific and technical partnerships with relevant international research groups, and with several primary industries.
